Nurture vs Nature

August 15, 2022 by Gina Trimmer

Women are naturally well-versed in nurturing. I don’t believe that either is the reason that we become the people that we do. I believe that it is the perfect balance of both nurture and nature that molds us. Especially when you consider this from the role of a women. It’s a constant state of nurture and nature when it comes to the well-being of others. Whether that be our own families, our friends or {let’s just be honest} really anyone in need of it. I don’t even agree that it’s been society that has given women such an enormous role over these basic needs of survival. To be fed, to be loved, to be cared for. It is such a natural response. That is why we are built the way that we are, literally designed to create life, sustain it and nourish it. Society just adopted a concept that was already so beautifully perfected. Women nurture by nature. The definition of the word nurture is so perfectly suited to women: [someone who nurtures others, offering food, protection, support, encouragement, or training: As a child grows the parent ceases to be solely a disciplinarian and a nurturer, instead taking on a new role as mentor and guide.] -dictionary.com And I am so very much ok with this description as it pertains to a woman being able to nurture.
